How to open Dell Latitude 9450 (2-in-1) – disassembly and upgrade options


    Opening the Device

    1. Undo the 6 captive Phillips-head screws securing the bottom panel.
    2. Use a thin plastic tool to pry the back of the device.
    3. Pop the top two corners and continue prying the sides and the front.

    Battery Removal

    1. Unplug the battery connector from the motherboard.
    2. Undo the 6 Phillips-head screws securing the battery to the chassis.
    3. Untangle the Wi-Fi card cables around the battery housing before lifting the battery out.

    Note: This laptop is equipped with a 60Wh battery, providing approximately 11 hours of video playback.


    Memory Information

    Note: The memory is soldered, with support for up to 64GB of LPDDR5x-7467MHz RAM in dual-channel mode, offering a future-proof setup for most users.

    Storage Upgrade

    1. There is one M.2 slot compatible with 2230 Gen 4 NVMe drives.
    2. The SSD is protected by a metal cap, secured with a single screw. No thermal pads are present for cooling.
