Acer TravelMate P4 (TMP449) is a new, lightweight, sturdy and convenient business machine

The new model part of Acer’s business lineup – TravelMate P4 TM449, featuring latest generation Intel Kaby Lake processors is now available for some markets.

The model features a dual core Intel Core i3-7100U Kaby Lake CPU ticking at 2.4 GHz and 3MB cache. TravelMate P4 TMP449 comes in 4, 8 and 16GB DDR4 RAM configurations (2133 MHz). Also, the available GPU is Intel HD Graphics 520, while we also have a matte display which is 14″ and has a resolution of 1366 х 768p. Additionally, the laptop is offered in four versions, differing in their storage size. The basic option has a 1TB HDD, and the configurations after it come with 256, 512 GB and 1 TB SSDs, respectively. Acer offers convenient upgrade of RAM and storage through the provided service panel on the bottom.

TravelMate P4 TMP449 also features a LAN card with 10/100/1000 Mbit/sec speed. It also uses 2×2 MIMO Wi-Fi 802.11ac protocol that ensures 5 times faster connection when compared to the older gen 802.11n, as well as Bluetooth 4.0. What’s more, the manufacturer has implemented keyboard backlighting and 180-rotatable hinges.

Acer has also mad sure to provide enough USB ports – three USB 2.0, one USB 3.0 and a USB Type-C one. Also present is a fingerprint scanner which facilitates data protection. The latter is further reassured with the help of three technologies: Intel Core vPro processor, SmartCard memory card reader and Thrusted Platform Module 2.0 for password protection. According to the manufacturer, the battery life can reach up to 8 hours. Also, this model sells with pre-installed Linux and its weight is 1.8 kg.
