NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 (130W) vs RTX 3060 (75W) – the 130W GPU is the winner but the 75W sibling is fast as well
The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 (with all its TGP versions) was the only Nvidia Ampere choice in the mid-range segment before the debut of the GeForce RTX 3050 Ti and RTX 3050. The GeForce RTX 3060 offers a lot of bang for the bug if you choose the right TGP version that suits your needs. The most modest one is the 65W version (which in most cases is a 60W solely for the GPU + 5W thanks to Dynamic Boost) and the bigger TGP version of the RTX 3060 is the 130W variant (at least for now).
For this comparison, we decided to pick the most powerful offering which is the GeForce RTX 3060 (130W) and its competitor is the RTX 3060 (75W) – one of the least-powerful RTX 3060 variants on the market. Verdict
Overall, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 (75W) is 16% slower when compared to the 130W version. It seems that both video cards are worthy performers. The 75W seems like a good choice if you’re on a budget but the GeForce RTX 3050 Ti is too slow for your needs. On the other hand, the 130W variant is a decent choice is the RTX 3070-based devices are too wallet-stretching for you but you still want to buy a fast gaming machine.
