How to open Lenovo ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 (14″ Snapdragon) – disassembly and upgrade options
Opening the Device
- Undo the five captive Phillips-head screws on the bottom panel.
- Use a thin plastic tool to pop the top two edges.
- Pry the sides and the front, then raise the back to remove the panel.

Battery Removal
- Unplug the battery connector from the motherboard.
- Undo the three Phillips-head screws that secure the battery to the base.
- Lift the battery to remove it.
Note: This model is equipped with a 58Wh battery, providing around 19 hours and 30 minutes of video playback.
There is a mylar film over the heat spreader.
Memory Information
Note: The memory is soldered. You can get up to 64GB of LPDDR5x-8533MHz RAM, although it operates at 8448MHz due to platform limitations. Snapdragon devices like this one have soldered RAM and Wi-Fi cards. Devices with eSIM functionality feature a WWAN slot next to the cooling system, but this model lacks it.
Storage Upgrade
- This device has one M.2 slot compatible with 2242 Gen 4 SSDs.
- The NVMe drive is protected by a metal cap secured with two screws. A thermal pad is located on the underside of the shroud, and another pad is positioned below the SSD.
