Acer Aspire V15 Nitro is the cheapest GTX 960M beast, and it has just been launched
The GPUs that we all waited for are finally here. Tomorrow is the NVIDIA’s embargo deadline for the new GeForce 940M, GTX 950M, GTX 960M and GTX 965M graphic cards, but the Bulgarian store Laptop.bg already has the 960Ms in stock.
The good news is that the price is very lucrative – the configurations start at 850 EUR, for a machine with an Intel Core i5-4210H processor, 8GB of RAM and a Full HD IPS display.
If you want more processing power, you could invest 200 EUR more (1050 EUR) for a configuration with a Core i7-4720HQ and if 15.6 inches aren’t enough for your work – what about a 17.3-incher at the same price?
There’s even better news is that we already got our hands on it and we’re testing it right now, so you can expect some detailed information and benchmarks very soon.
Will this laptop be also with GTX 965m or just GTX 960m (and lesser GPUs)?
Either way I will be checking this site a lot next days, I am really of new GPUs! 🙂
At this point, Acer won’t offer Aspire Nitro with 965M, but we will discuss this matter with them.
Hope they will respond as soon as possible, GTX 965m version would be amazing.
Just a guess – how much do you think it would cost?
They told us that 965M Nitro isn’t part of their current plans, but this answer doesn’t satisfy us, so we appointed an interview =) We’ve got some more questions anyway, so we’ll push for a more detailed answer :))
I have a question about the processor. Is there any important loss of power and loss of fps in-game between i5-4210h and i7-4720hq? Have in mind that I am not considering this laptop for heavy programs but for gaming machine at limited budget( around 1000 approx.)
As far as I know, i5 is enough for gaming. What other people told me, fps loss is low and you won’t see the difference. Wait for another opinions though.
Fangovich is right, I doubt that you’ll notice any FPS difference.
Hope you can test the one with ssd and 4k (comparing with the lenovo one) , no one has tested those component on this machine yet.
when will the version with gtx 965m come out? otherwise this is really a great news
My opinion this is have the best-looking gaming laptop currently.
What i want from this notebook is:
– i5 5200u Broadwell
– 7 hours battery, when light load
– the Fans off completely when idle and light tasks
– Also quiet operation when gaming
965m is 21% faster than 960m.
