The ASUS ZenBook UX410UQ IPS screen has a good PWM rating in our ranking table

Our tests show that the ASUS ZenBook UX410UQ has an excellent IPS display with just a few drawbacks and PWM is one of the small issues here, believe it or not. It appears that the screen uses PWM to control screen brightness only below 30%.

This is excellent news as brightness below 97 cd/m2 (30%) is too low for everyday use unless you are in a really dark room. But even if you happen to go below 30%, the frequency of the emitted light is so high (25 kHz) that only users with really sensitive eyes will feel the effects. And a great addition to the already good panel would be our Health-Guard profile, which will eliminate the negative blue light emissions while preserving the color accuracy as much as possible.
