The new ASUS TUF Gaming FX505 – surprises with thin bezels, capable CPU, and compact size

Another day has come and its sun will shine for the ASUS TUF Gaming FX505. This is a 15-inch gaming wonder that will surprise you with its mobility.

You can check its in-depth specs and more information here: https://laptopmedia.com/series/asus-tuf-gaming-fx505/

As expected, this fast performer boasts an Intel Core i7-8750H CPU that occupies the 4th place in our Top Laptop CPU Rankings. Great graphics performance is ensured by up to an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 (6GB GDDR5) chip which is more than commendable. You won’t have to worry about multitasking, as the manufacturer allows for up to 32GB of RAM. Another must for a contemporary gaming machine is the availability of a dual-storage option and up to 512GB SSD + up to 1000GB HDD is the best choice here.

Display-wise, we are happy to note the increasing tendency in gaming laptops for thin side bezels. In this case, you can choose between a 15.6”, Full HD (1920 x 1080), 144 Hz, IPS panel and a 15.6”, Full HD (1920 x 1080), IPS one. Unfortunately, there is no USB-C port but at least you get a backlit keyboard. What’s more, this machine weighs only 2.20 kg which deserves our admiration as it’s a gaming machine after all.

It’s always good to know what alternatives you have and in this case, we are presented with the MSI GP63 Leopard 8R, Acer Predator Helios 300 PH315, and HP OMEN 15.

You can check all available configurations and detailed specs in our Laptops Specs system:

I am really looking forward for the review of this machine. I got my eyes on it because it seems the price for these components is unbeatable from my point of view. However I really want to see if the problems from FX504 are fixed. I see that they added one more pipe in the cooling system and I am really excited to see if there is any result when you guys run the tests. Looking forward to it!
