[Comparison] AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS vs Intel Core i7-11800H – Tiger Lake in 2023, why not?
How competitive is the Core i7-11800H in 2023? Today we’re here to answer that, as well as give another opponent to the Ryzen 7 7735HS, which has been hit & miss. While AMD is trying to promote it as a new CPU, if you dig deeper you’ll find out that it runs on the same architecture as the Ryzen 7 6800HS from last year. Compared to the Core i7-11800H, its got the same core and thread count, while the Core i7 enjoys an extra 4MB of cache, which does come in handy when gaming. While we don’t have gaming tests here, you can check out many of the laptops that come with it and how they perform, by clicking on the link below.

CPU benchmarks
The Core i7 comes with a 2% higher 3D Rendering score, leading the charge. It’s also faster in Photoshop, finishing the benchmark 0.22 seconds sooner than the Ryzen 7.
Results are from the Cinebench R23 CPU test (the higher the score, the better)
Conclusion
The Ryzen 7 really got whopping in front of everyone, losing to the Core i7-11800H in both benchmarks. While the differences aren’t that large, the Core i7 was released all the way back in 2021, which means that you can find it for cheaper in today’s market, so if you need bang for the buck performance, this is where you should look at.
typo in benchmark for photoshop? 0.8 second faster?
A sharp eye you have there, Faith! It must have been a typo indeed, and we’ve just fixed it. Thank you 🙂
