[Comparison] AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 vs AMD Ryzen AI 9 365 – HX 370 excels in heavy workloads, AI 9 365 is good enough for everyday tasks
The new AMD Ryzen AI CPUs are so good, that now they’ve got no one else to fight but themselves. The AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 is the best AMD laptop CPU that you can get right now, thanks to its high performance and great efficiency (you can check the review of the ASUS Vivobook S 16 that uses the same CPU).
There are a lot more comparisons coming, including the Snapdragon X Elite and X Plus, as well as the Meteor Lake and the Apple M-series.

Specs table
Both CPUs use the Zen 5 and Zen 5C architecture, as the cores are split into two parts, with P-cores and E-cores (btw, the C stands for compact). The HX CPU also has two more cores and a slightly higher boost clock speed (the latter likely won’t contribute as much, if at all).

CPU benchmarks
In terms of single-core performance, we couldn’t expect much difference since both processors use the same cores; the only distinction is that the HX 370 boosts to 5.10 GHz instead of 5.0 GHz. However, this slight increase does not confer any noticeable advantage today. Interestingly, the Ryzen AI 9 365 even holds a 1% lead, which could be considered within the margin of error.
Going to the Multi-core performance test, although Geekbench didn’t see much of a difference, Cinebench showed that the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 is 12% faster. As expected, thanks to the 2 extra cores / 4 threads that 370 HX carries.
Here, we evaluate the CPU's performance using a real-world 3D rendering task, assessing its ability to handle complex computations and rendering workloads efficiently.
Results are from the Cinebench 2024 Multi-Core test (higher is better)
Single-core performance ensures smooth operation and responsiveness in operating systems, providing a better user experience.
Results are from the Geekbench 6 Single-Core test (higher is better)
Multi-core performance is essential for handling complex and demanding tasks, such as Video editing, CAD, and Scientific simulations.

GPU benchmarks
In the 3DMark Wild Life Extreme benchmark, the Radeon 890M shows to have a significant edge in terms of graphics performance over the Radeon 880M, with a 15% higher score.
