[FPS Benchmarks] CS:GO on NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 [40W and 50W] – the 50W version is suitable for 240Hz panels on Max settings

If you’re considering yourself a gamer then you know that Counter-Strike games are very popular for two decades now (yep, it was in a beta state in 1999, and it was released in 2000). The latest installment is Counter-Strike Global Offensive but we will call it CS:GO because it sounds more fluent.

CS:GO uses Source engine and yes, it’s not a resource-heavy game. Even low-end GPUs like GeForce MX250 can run this game without a hassle. As in every competitive game, more FPS means smoother gameplay especially if you have a high-refresh-rate display. We have two laptops with the 40W and the 50W versions of GeForce GTX 1650 and we are about to show you what kind of performance these two can offer. Note that the smaller TGP variant is with 896 CUDAs while the 50W graphics card has 1024 shaders.

    Verdict

Expectedly, the Geforce GTX 1650 [50W] is able to show higher FPS results when compared to its 40W sibling. The difference in Low and Medium details isn’t something to write home about (2% – 9%) but if you want to play the game with maxed-out visuals, the 50W variant is 21% faster than the 40W GPU.

However, both video cards can deliver a smooth experience if you have a 144Hz or even 240Hz panel. And if you need even more FPS just turn down the settings to its minimum state and most of the time you’ll see frames above the 300 mark.
