[FPS Benchmarks] Apex Legends on NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 [40W and 50W] – even the smaller GPU can go beyond the 60 FPS mark on Max quality

Apex Legends is a popular battle royal game that is also free-to-play. The title use Valve’s Source engine that is pushed to its limits in this game. For example, CS:GO and Team Fortress are also Source-based games but they are much lighter than Apex Legends.

One of the main reasons is the large map, which is available for exploration as soon as you jump off the plane. On Max settings, the game is a real challenge even for GPUs like the GeForce GTX 1660 Ti and RTX 2060 if you want to reach 144 FPS.

So, the GeForce GTX 1650 [40W, 896 CUDA, GDDR6] and the GeForce GTX 1650 [50W, 1024 CUDA, GDDR5] are here and we’ll check their performance for the sake of this article.

    Verdict

Nice, the two GPUs are worthy performers here. If you like your FPS to be as high as possible, the 50W variant can do 149 FPS on Low while the 40W GPU shows a nice result as well – 129 FPS. On maxed-out visuals, the frames are reduced almost at half – 64 FPS for the smaller video card and 77 FPS for the 50W GTX 1650.

This means the GeForce GTX 1650 [50W] is not just better but it’s the safer choice as well. With the GeForce GTX 1650 [50W] you can experience fewer FPS dips, while with the 40W variant sometimes the frames drop below 60, which is a bit unpleasant for multiplayer games.
