ARK: Survival Evolved is a game that offers kind of unique and fresh gaming experience. You have to survive on an island full of dinosaurs, different prehistorical creatures (some are hostile, some are not), and other humans as well. If you want to survive, you have to play strategically – you can hunt down animals for food, build a base, and craft weapons.
In terms of graphics, the game looks good even on Medium quality and it becomes hungry for system resources on High and Epic settings. Still, an entry-level Ampere GPU like the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti [Laptop, 95W] is able to deliver more than 60 FPS on High quality which means that you don’t need a true powerhouse for playing this game. Verdict
On Low and Medium, the difference between these two GPUs isn’t jaw-dropping but on High and Epic things are different. The GeForce RTX 3060 [65W] is 47% faster on High and even 48% faster on Epic – now, that’s a big performance gap. The GeForce GeForce RTX 3050 [55W] isn’t a bad choice at all, it seems like a good choice for budget buyers and it can deliver 76 FPS on Medium details which is a good result for such a GPU.
