ARK: Survival Evolved is a fascinating game that can offer an engaging gameplay experience on an island full of dinosaurs and other prehistorical hostile creatures. The graphical part looks good but this game isn’t the lightest out there and it’s even among those titles that demand a lot from your machine if you want to see the best possible picture quality.

For at least 60 FPS on Epic quality, a good gaming device is a must and actually, not many GPUs are able to breach this mark (60 frames per second). For this comparison, we have high-end and mid-range graphics solutions – the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (105W) and RTX 3060 (100W).

Verdict

Both video cards perform well in our tests and if we put the Low details result aside, expectedly, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (105W) wins with ease. Especially on Epic quality where the higher CUDA sound, the wider memory bus, and the bigger video RAM buffer has the last word – that’s why in this scenario the RTX 3080 (105W) is 28% faster compared to the GeForce RTX 3060 (100W).

However, the smaller GPU is a great choice if your budget isn’t that big and the overall performance of this thing isn’t bad at all.
