[FPS Benchmarks] ARK: Survival Evolved on NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (130W) and RTX 3080 (85W) – expectedly the 130W GPU wins

ARK: Survival Evolved is a nice-looking game that has interesting gameplay. The player has to battle prehistorical creatures in order to survive. Additionally, you can build a base, you can scavenge for tools, food, you can craft items, etc.

The title looks great especially on Epic quality but it’s heavy on system resources as well. A lot of previous-gen mid-range video cards can barely reach the 30 FPS mark on Epic details. So, for today’s article, we have prepared two really fast GPUs – the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (130W) and RTX 3080 (85W).

    Verdict

On Low, both GPUs are pretty close but actually, it doesn’t matter that much because the game doesn’t look good on this quality preset and we doubt that someone with a high-end machine will play this title on Low. When it comes to the other presets, the 85W GPU is lacking pace. Given the fact that it has just an 85W TGP, it sounds normal. Still, it can show 62 FPS on Epic quality which is just fine for that kind of a GPU with such decreased frequencies.
