[FPS Benchmarks] Cyberpunk 2077 on NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (105W) and RTX 3060 (100W) – the RTX 3080 wins but the RTX 3060 performs well too
Cyberpunk 2077 debut wasn’t as smooth as most gamers wanted it to be but at least after some time, the title was patched numerous times, and right now it looks like the gaming experience can be ruined by some game-breaking bugs. Aside from that, Cyberpunk 2077 is a beautiful game and it offers one of the best ray-tracing implementations on the market.
Still, not the lightest one mainly if you want to play with ray-tracing but if your FPS isn’t as high as you wanted it to be you can active DLSS (if you have an RTX video card) and it’ll help a lot. For this comparison, we have two decent Ampere graphics cards – the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (105W) and RTX 3060 (100W).

Verdict
Okay, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (105W) is 15% faster on average but at the same, this difference isn’t that huge to justify the bigger price premium that you have to pay extra. The GeForce RTX 3060 (100W) is fast enough for over 60 FPS on Ultra quality at that is (maybe) enough for the majority of gamers.
