[FPS Benchmarks] Cyberpunk 2077 on NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (165W) and RTX 3080 (130W) – a super close call

Cyberpunk 2077 is still popular in 2022 especially because the Phantom Liberty expansion is on its way. Nowadays, the game is in a good (and playable) state while the initial release version of the title was a nightmare for some people. Still, the game offers a pretty long single-player campaign and good graphics.

Speaking of graphics, Cyberpunk 2077 supports some goodies like DLSS and ray-tracing. When the latter option is enabled, the game become heavy on system resources, especially if you want to play with greatly increased visual quality. In this situation, DLSS will definitely help. However, the title isn’t that heavy when ray-tracing is turned off. So, let’s see what is the actual difference in terms of performance between two powerful NVIDIA Ampere GPUs with hefty TGPs – the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (165W) and RTX 3080 (130W).

    Verdict

Well, at least when it comes to Cyberpunk 2077 the difference between the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (165W) and RTX 3080 (130W) is really small no matter the fact that the 165W GPU has a 27% bigger TGP. On the bright side, the GeForce RTX 3080 (130W) performs well and this could save you some bucks because the 165W version of the GeForce RTX 3080 can be found in high-end laptops.
