Far Cry New Dawn is a game that follows the story and the events after the end of Far Cry 5. The surrounding world is the same as the one that we saw in the fifth installment but in the new game, everything is more colorful because of the bliss (Far Cry fans know what we are talking about).

So, the engine is the same – a bit again but it still can deliver decent visuals. This means the title isn’t super-heavy like Metro Exodus and most of the mid-rangers are good enough for FPS way over the 60 FPS mark. For this comparison, we’ll compare two good Ampere GPUs – the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (105W) and RTX 3060 (100W).

Verdict

Actually, that was a bit unexpected. Both rivals are very close in terms of pure performance no matter the preset. Probably that’s due to the fact the Far Cry New Dawn isn’t too heavy. That leads us to the fact where the smaller GPU is the better choice (when we are talking about Far Cry New Dawn) because it delivers almost the same FPS numbers and it costs less.
