[FPS Benchmarks] Halo Reach on NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 (130W) and RTX 3070 (85W) – the 130W GPU is much faster
The original version of Halo: Reach was released in 2010 for Xbox. In 2019 an enhanced variant of the game debuted for PC as Halo: The Master Chief Collection. The engine is updated and that’s why the game definitely looks better compared to the older console title.
Still, the visual quality isn’t mind-blowing but it’s okay if you aren’t too pretentious. On the bright side, the game is light and the single-player campaign is interesting.
Let’s not waste more time and see how good are the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 (130W) and RTX 3070 (85W) regarding this game.

Verdict
Even the smaller GPU is decent enough for 144 Hz displays on the Enhanced preset. The bigger video card is a whole another story and as you can see, because of its 130W TGP it’s much faster compared to its 85W sibling. On average, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 (130W) is 40% faster than the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 (85W) which is a significant difference.
On the other hand, if 140 FPS on Enhanced quality is enough for you and you need a thin and fast laptop at the same time, probably the GeForce RTX 3070 (85W) is the way to go.
