[FPS Benchmarks] Metro Exodus on AMD Radeon RX 6800M and RX 6600M – the RX 6800M is 48% faster on Extreme quality
Metro Exodus is a great-looking game that brings detailed graphics and creatures like ray-tracing and DLSS. However, this is one of the most demanding games if you want to bump the visual quality to its maximum state.
In most cases, a mid-range GPU isn’t enough if we are talking about the Extreme preset because in most cases, there are some dips below the bare minimum regarding the FPS. Even GPUs like the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (130W) aren’t enough for 60 FPS on Extreme quality.
For this comparison, we choose two fast AMD GPUs – the AMD Radeon RX 6800M and RX 6600M. So, let’s see how powerful these two are when it comes to Metro Exodus.

Verdict
On Low and High settings, the difference between these two GPUs isn’t that big but on Extreme quality, the Radeon RX 6800M is showing its raw power. In this scenario, the RX 6800M is 48% faster compared to the smaller RX 6600M and yes, this is a big performance gap. When we add the prices of these two GPUs, it seems that the smaller sibling isn’t bad at all it achieved 62 FPS on High quality.
