[FPS Benchmarks] Metro Exodus on NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 (130W) and RTX 3070 (130W) – the bigger GPU wins
Metro Exodus is one of the heaviest titles (in terms of system requirements) even in 2021. The visual representation is great and the game looks very good on Extreme quality but most mid-range GPUs are struggling a lot when this preset is applied.
The title offers ray-tracing as well but even high-end GPUs are having a hard time with this feature (again, on Extreme preset) so maybe most players will turn on DLSS as well. So, for this article, we have two fast video cards for testing – the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 (130W) and RTX 3070 (130W).
Don’t forget to take a look at our Top 100 Best Laptops for Metro Exodus list.

Verdict
It looks like the bigger GPU is the way to go at least when it comes to Metro Exodus (and if you can afford it). On Extreme details, it offers a bit smoother experience (because of the higher FPS +18%). However, the High preset will give you much more FPS and almost the same visual quality no matter the GPU. In this scenario, the GeForce RTX 3070 (130W) is faster but the smaller GPU can show 77 FPS which is more than enough for a single-player game.
