Step 1: Opening the Acer Nitro V 14 (ANV14-61)

Shut down the laptop and place it on a stable, static-free surface.
Undo the nine Phillips-head screws securing the bottom panel.
Carefully pry the panel off with a thin plastic tool, starting from one of the rear corners and working your way around the sides and front until the plate is fully released.

Memory Upgrade

This 14-inch device impressively provides two DDR5 SO-DIMM slots instead of soldered memory, which is rare in this class.
Our unit came with both slots occupied by 8GB 1Rx16 PC5-5600B modules for a total of 16GB in dual-channel mode.

Storage Upgrade

Locate the two 2280 M.2 PCIe Gen 4 slots below the RAM area.
One of these slots houses the preinstalled WD PC SN5000S SSD.
For upgrades, remove the installed SSD if needed, then insert your new drive into an empty slot at an angle and secure it with the existing screw.

Battery Information

The battery here is a relatively small 57.48Wh unit, which is a trade-off for the compact size and full upgradeability of this 14-inch laptop.
To remove it, unplug the connector from the motherboard and undo the screws that secure the battery to the chassis, then lift it away carefully.

Wireless Module

The laptop uses a replaceable M.2 Wi-Fi card made by MediaTek, located near the cooling assembly.
You can swap it by removing one screw and carefully disconnecting the antenna cables if needed.

Cooling System Overview

The cooling solution includes two heat pipes running between the CPU/GPU and a single large fan positioned for effective heat exhaust.
