Apple’s new MacBook Air (M1, Late 2020) is the new battery champ
We expected the new M1-powered MacBooks to be record-breaking, in terms of performance, but it seems that Apple has made its newest device a champion in other areas as well.
The MacBook Air (M1, Late 2020) managed to endure our battery life test with some very impressive numbers. In fact, they were high enough to give the MacBook Air the number one spot in our Top 50 Laptops with the Best Battery Life ranking.

The Apple MacBook Air (M1, Late 2020)’s 49.9Wh battery unit was able to last through 24 hours and 20 minutes of Web Browsing, 13 hours and 20 minutes of video playback, and 4 hours and 13 minutes of continuous video rendering. As always we do our battery life test with the screen brightness set to 120 nits and every program turned off, except the one we are testing the notebook with. We can conclude that the M1 is an amazing SoC, that has both raw power and great power-efficiency.
