The Apple MacBook Air (M1, Late 2020)’s 49.9Wh battery unit was able to last through 24 hours and 20 minutes of Web Browsing, 13 hours and 20 minutes of video playback, and 4 hours and 13 minutes of continuous video rendering. As always we do our battery life test with the screen brightness set to 120 nits and every program turned off, except the one we are testing the notebook with. We can conclude that the M1 is an amazing SoC, that has both raw power and great power-efficiency.

Below you can compare the battery life results between the MacBook Air and the other two notebooks that complete the top 3 in our Best Battery Life chart.
