Today we continue with our articles on black Friday laptop offers with intriguing GPUs. This time we are looking at machines equipped with the GTX 1050 Ti and GTX 1050 Ti Max-Q graphics processors. The two products are quite close in terms of performance and they sit one next to the other in our Top Laptop Graphics Rankings.
And so, the GTX 1050 Ti is a tad older than its Max-Q version (2017 vs 2018) but both make use of a 14nm manufacturing process. Other similarities include a power consumption of 75W, memory bus of 192-bit, a memory capacity of 4GB GDDR5 (although the Ti version has a 2GB option), and an identical number of cores. When it comes to their speed, we notice some differences – the former boasts a base/max frequency of 1493 MHz/1620 MHz, whereas the latter offers 1290 MHz/1417 MHz.
Enough with the specs, let us talk about some games. If you want to play something of the sort of GTA V, you can get a good framerate at High settings. On the other hand, a game like ROTR will require you to use Medium settings in order to achieve an enjoyable experience.
