Dell Precision 15 3520’s configuration with IPS panel uses PWM for regulating screen brightness

If you are looking into Dell’s professional workstations, then you might have already come across the Precision 15 3520 – a durable workforce on the go that has a lot to offer and has little drawbacks along the way. Unfortunately, one of the cons is the presence of PWM from 0 to 99% screen brightness.

You can find the available configurations here: http://amzn.to/2sHiyeu

We are talking, of course, about the configuration with IPS display and that’s pretty important to note since this is a business-grade laptop, which will probably be used for extended periods of time. However, the good news is that the panel flickers at pretty high frequency – 21 kHz. This will most probably affect only users with extra sensitive eyes and only between 0 and 99% brightness.

If you are looking for a safer option, though, consider checking our PWM ranking, which ranks the laptops we’ve tested in terms of health impact.
