First impressions of LG Leon – one of the budget offerings that’s worth considering
The budget segment of the smartphone market looks more and more attractive with each day, due to the continuous growth of the competition. LG has also been gaining speed and the current model that the manufacturer promotes is LG Leon. We’re also planing to review the device where we will address every aspect of the phone using our usual tests. But for now we’ll share our first impressions for the short time that we’ve been using it.
You can find information about the price and availability of LG Leon in the following link: http://amzn.to/1XeQpC1
As soon as you hold the device in your hand for the first time, you’ll notice the relatively thick body that measures at 10.9 mm. However, the curved back of the phone, along with the small (for nowadays standards) 4.5-inch display, aid for a comfortable grip. Perhaps this is the main reason why the device doesn’t have a bulky appearance and one-handed usage is comfortable. You won’t have any problem reaching all the edges of the screen with your thumb.
One of the design features of LG Leon that should be noted is its rear cover. It is coated with the popular metal-like LG texture and the gold version of the phone, which we have, has a great appearance and doesn’t look like a normal budget model. On the same side, we find all the physical buttons of the device located right beneath its main camera. They are slightly modified and the area around them is protruding. The back cover easily removed and making the battery user-replaceable. And beneath the battery is the SIM card slot.

The back cover is user removable, as well as the battery which is found beneath it. Once you remove both of them you get access to the SIM card slot.
In our full review we’re going to take an in-depth look at the 4.5-inch display that boasts an IPS panel and we’re going to test the 5MP camera on the back as well. Even though there aren’t any manual settings in the camera menu, we were pleasantly surprised to see its Full HD video recording capability and some other features that we’ll discuss in our articles and review.
