1. Remove the bottom plate

If you want to remove the bottom plate, you have to undo 10 Phillips-head screws. Then, you can start prying the panel with a plastic tool.

2. Remove the battery

The battery is a 54.6Wh model. Before upgrading the machine, you have to pull out the battery connector from the motherboard. The unit isn’t fixed with screws directly to the base so it’s very easy to be removed. The capacity is enough for 11 hours and 7 minutes of Web browsing and 12 hours and 30 minutes of video playback.

3. Upgrade memory and storage

The RAM is soldered and the LPDDR4X-4266MHz memory is working in a dual-channel mode which has a positive effect on the performance of the device. For storage, you get a single M.2 slot compatible with Gen. 4 SSD. Unfortunately, the slot is downgraded to Gen. 3 speeds because of AMD platform limitations.

4. Cooling system

The cooling solution looks normal for a machine in this price category. It comprises one fan and two heat pipes.
