Lenovo P2 preview – 5.5” AMOLED display, Snapdragon 625 and 5100mAh battery

It was in the beginning of September that Lenovo officially presented their new P2 with a big 5100mAh battery. Because it has become available for some markets, we would like to acquaint you with its most notable features. If you happen to show interest in Lenovo P2, you can check its current price and availability here: http://amzn.to/2g5Skcl

5100mAh battery and metal design

The battery is only one of Lenovo P2’s merits. Its capacity is the enormous 5100mAh which is bound to ensure long battery life. According to the manufacturer, a single charge should be enough for 78 hours of phone call and 32 days of stand-by. Also available is a powerful charger which can provide 10 hours of battery life with a 15 minutes of charging. P2 can also serve as a power bank for other devices that you carry with you. What’s more, the emphasis on high durability is further highlighted by the presence of a hardware button on the left which automatically engages a Power Saver mode.

Despite the big battery, Lenovo P2 offers a relatively thin profile of 8.3mm. Additionally, the phone weighs 177 grams which is also normal for a 5.5-inch model. You will also be faced with a metal unibody construction bringing premium looks and feel when the phone is in your hands.

5.5-inch Super AMOLED display and 13MP camera

P2 has a 5.5-inch display ensuring big enough operational surface. Its resolution is Full HD (1920 x 1080p) which means that you will have a really detailed image before you. Additionally, thanks to the Super AMOLED panel the display also offers high brightness and contrast levels along with perfect viewing angles and unobstructed visibility outdoors.

Also, the main camera here is 13MP and uses a Sony sensor. It has autofocus and a dual LED flash. Furthermore, it brings various settings and modes such as Panorama and HDR. Lenovo also claims that you will be able to capture decent pictures in poorly lit environments. You can also record Full HD videos. Selfie fans, do not be afraid, there is a 5MP camera on the front for you.

8-core Snapdragon 625, Android 6.0 and fingerprint scanner

Lenovo P2 features a Snapdragon 625 mobile processor. It comes with eight Cortex-A53 cores ticking at up to 2.00GHz which means that you can expect high performance. Also present is an Adreno 506 GPU and 4GB of RAM which guarantee the snappy performance of your phone. As far as storage is concerned, you have 16GB internally but can expand via the microSD card slot which supports up to 256GB.

Also, Lenovo P2 comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow which is accompanied by the Vibe Lenovo UI bringing additional useful features. You will be also presented with a fingerprint scanner and dual SIM capabilities.
