[October 2018] Dell G5 is a LaptopMedia best-seller for yet another month

This is the second month in which Dell’s mid-range gaming lineup takes the gold medal in our best-selling laptops chart… These are the machines that our readers have chosen among the crowd:

#3 We start with the bronze medal which in our case goes to the good for so many things ASUS VivoBook S15 (S510). We can easily understand why it sells so well – it has a wide choice of processors starting from the Intel Core i3-7100U all the way up to the Intel Core i7-8550U. Additionally, there’s a good variety of GPUs, the most notable being NVIDIA GeForce MX150 (2GB GDDR5). Storage-wise, you can purchase the machine with up to a 2000GB SSD + up to a 2000GB HDD. As for RAM, you can get up to 32GB for smooth multitasking. This VivoBook also features either a 15.6”, HD (1366 x 768), TN panel or a 15.6”, Full HD (1920 x 1080), IPS panel (for which we have profiles). Another merit is its compactness – the machine weighs only 1.70 kg and has a profile thickness of 17.9 mm.

#2 Next on our list comes another VivoBook – ASUS VivoBook F510 (X510). The choice of processors and GPUs here is relatively similar, the top options being once again the Intel Core i7-8550U and NVIDIA GeForce MX150 (2GB GDDR5). RAM-wise, the situation has not changed – we get up to 32GB. The available storage configs go up to a 1000GB SSD + up to a 2000GB HDD. Another good thing here is the optional fingerprint scanner and keyboard backlight.

#1 And finally, our best-seller is the stylish gaming notebook Dell G5 15 5587 (G5587). This bad boy can make you happy with up to an Intel Core i7-8750H processor and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 Max-Q (6GB GDDR5) graphics card. Furthermore, it sports either a 15.6-inch Full HD or 4K IPS display! Additionally, it is appealing to the eye with its single-hinge design and keyboard backlight. When it comes to the available RAM, you can purchase it with up to 16GB of memory. In the storage department, the best you can currently go for is up to a 1000GB SSD + up to a 1000GB HDD. You can check our review of this bad boy right here.
