OnePlus 7 Pro – unbeatable screen at unbeatable price ($739/£583)

Everybody’s favorite flagship killer has gone a long way. From cutting some features here and there to keep the price low, to introducing the first in the world 90Hz AMOLED display on a smartphone in just a couple of years. That said, if you are familiar with the device, you know that it is one of the golden picks of 2019, if you are not familiar, however, you should immediately read this article and get on the OnePlus 7 Pro hype train. Additionally, if you are outside of the US (where the device is being sold at its cheapest), you would be very interested in the following link from Gearbest, as it enables you to order the device at near US prices: https://uk.gearbest.com/cell-phones/pp_009360569671.html

Let us start with some information about this beautiful display – it has the biggest resolution and size of a OnePlus device yet 1440 x 3120 pixels at 6.67 inches. In addition to the bold step of increasing the resolution, OnePlus made the display work at 90Hz which results in a super immersive experience, both throughout the menu and in the games that support it of course.

However, in order to support games running at 90 fps, you need a solid SoC – and this is exactly what the OnePlus is always been about – power! It is equipped with the latest 7nm Snapdragon 855 octa-core CPU (1×2.84 GHz Kryo 485 & 3×2.42 GHz Kryo 485 & 4×1.80 GHz Kryo 485) that has an Adreno 640 graphics card working beside it. You can pair the device with 6GB, 8GB (the unit we the deal is about) and with the whopping 12GB of RAM, while the storage goes from the “modest” 128GB up to 256GB of the ultrafast UFS 3.0.

Camera-wise it comes with another First for OnePlus – three different focal lengths – a 48MP f/1.6 main (wide) camera, a 16MP f/2.2, 13mm (ultrawide) camera, and an 8MP f/2.4, 78mm (telephoto) camera to complete the setup. With that, you can shoot a 4K video at 30/60fps and 1080p videos at 30/60/240 fps, as well as slow-motion videos at a 720p resolution with 480 fps frame rate. All of this sounds very good, however, one of the defining features of the OnePlus 7 Pro lays in the front… or more precisely, inside the phone – it is the 16MP front-facing camera that pops up upon use. This makes possible the integration of a full-sized truly bezel-less display.

The good stuff doesn’t end here, though – this smartphone is equipped with a 4000 mAh battery, which charges extremely fast with the 30W Warp charger that comes inside the box – almost as powerful as the charger of ASUS ZenBook UX433. Additionally, it supports BlueTooth 5.0, aptX HD for undisrupted connection to a Hi-Fi headset and of course, the updated under-display fingerprint reader. On top of that OnePlus 7 Pro is using USB 3.1 Type-C connection, that helps with the fast charging and more importantly – with fast connection speeds, which was a common problem for the older OnePlus smartphones. Oh, we almost forgot, there is the in-house notification slider, that makes even Apple users jealous.

OnePlus 7 Pro is currently available in two colors – Nebula Blue and Mirro Grey with a third one, called Almond, being around the corner. You can check the prices at Gearbest: https://uk.gearbest.com/cell-phones/pp_009360569671.html
