Prestigio Wize C3 is a new super-budget model that recently got our attention. Its price is around $70 making it one of the most affordable smartphones on the market. Anyway, let’s take a look at what it has to offer and is it worth considering.

Quad-core CPU, microSD memory card slot and 1800 mAh battery

Wize C3 houses a Spreadtrum SC7731G SoC that boasts four Cortex-A7 cores clocked at 1.30 GHz. It seems powerful enough to meet all expectations for such a low-cost device. The CPU is paired with Mali-400 GPU for the more GPU-intensive tasks. Anyway, the energy efficient Cortex-A7 should have a positive impact on the battery that, by the way, has 1800 mAh capacity. However, the manufacturer hasn’t provided any additional information about the battery life, so it’s up to us to check its battery.

The internal storage of the device is only 4GB, but the microSD memory card slot supports up to 32GB for some extra space. On top of that, you can take advantage of Prestigio’s Multicloud feature that provides another 200GB of additional cloud storage.

5-inch display with a wide variety of pre-installed apps

Prestigio Wize C3 has a 5-inch screen, making it one of the biggest offerings of the budget class. The display’ has a TN panel, but Prestigio claims that colors are bright and vivid and the device is comfortable for all types of multimedia – watching videos, surfing the web, reading, gaming, etc. The resolution of the screen is 480 x 854 providing 200 ppi pixel density.

The OS, of course, is Android 4.4 KitKat, but more importantly you get a bunch of pre-installed apps, some of which could not be found for free on the Google Play Store. Among those apps, we see McAfee Antivirus, Clean Master, OfficeSuite Pro, eReader Prestigio and others.

Dual SIM card support and three available color options

The phone has Dual SIM card support, making it an even more appealing. This feature is very useful, when you have work-related and personal SIM cards.

The device features a stylish and simplistic design with a relatively thin construction (9.9 mm). Wize C3 is available in three colors – black, blue and gray. Although the phone’s cameras aren’t that impressive, you can make use of the front one for some casual selfies and video chats, while the rear one is capable of taking decent shots in lower light conditions, due to its LED flash.
