Preview of Lenovo Vibe X3 – Snapdragon 808, 21MP camera and 5.5″ Full HD display
Nearly a week ago we introduced you to Lenovo Vibe X3 Lite (a.k.a. A7010) in our first impressions article (stay tuned for the full review). Amazon now also features its higher-end sibling, Vibe X3. It borrows a lot from the Lite version in the looks department, but also offers some not-insignificant improvements. For current prices of Lenovo Vibe X3, as well as information on how to purchase, you can check here: http://amzn.to/1moqzil
Snapdragon 808 and 5.5 inch Full HD display
One of the significant differences between the two models is that Vibe X3 runs on a Qualcomm chip, namely Snapdragon 808. It is equipped with two Cortex-A57 cores, operating at 1.82GHz, and four Cortex-A53 cores, clocked at 1.44GHz. By comparison, Nexus 5x has the same mobile chip, which also includes the Adreno 418 GPU. In the case of Vibe X3, there’s also 3GB of memory and 32GB of internal storage. The second SIM slot can also double as a MicroSD slot that supports cards of up to 128GB.
Once again we have a 5.5″ display that boasts Full HD resolution, and the 401ppi pixel density will ensure that images are in high detail. Thanks to the IPX matrix, you’ll also have the benefit of clear colors, high contrast, and wide viewing angles. Scratch protection is present in the form of Gorilla Glass 3.
21MP camera and 3600mAh battery + gift
Another improvement when compared to the Lite variation is the main camera, which is now a 21MP unit. It offers autofocus, two-LED flashlight, as well as 2160p video recording. Up front there’s an 8MP camera, in case you feel like taking quality selfies.
Vibe X3 sports a slightly larger battery – 3600mAh. The latter is also responsible for the slight increase in weight – 175g. Thickness remains basically the same – 9.3mm. We have high expectations in terms of battery endurance. Smartphone.bg’s online store adds a special gift to the package – an external 2600mAh battery (valid till stocks last).
Fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers and dual SIM cards
Lenovo Vibe X3 runs Android 5.1 Lollipop, but there will likely be an Android 6.0 Marshmallow update in the near future. Judging by the Lite model, we can expect a lot of preinstalled apps and useful functionality that makes it easy to work with the large 5.5 display.
Two SIM cards are still supported, and the fingerprint scanner is still here, located at the back. Naturally, the stereo speakers at the front are equipped with Dolby Atmos tech, ensuring high-quality powerful sound.
