Today we are giving you a quick overview of the Acer Swift X (SFX14-51G).

Acer Swift X (SFX14-51G): Full Specs

Design

The design of the Swift X is astonishing, with an aluminum chassis and lid that is very thin and light. The laptop weighs only 1.40 kg and has a profile of 17.9 mm. The main color of the laptop is dark grey, while the lid comes in either Green or Red, with both colors reminding us of the Ferrari and Aston Martin F1 teams, respectively. The back of the lid has a small Swift scripture while the lid itself comes with a small Acer logo in silver.

Acer is usually one of the more eco-friendly companies and they are showing it here, using a touchpad cover made of sea glass, a type of glass that is naturally occurring, resulting in a smaller carbon footprint.

Display

The display comes with a high 2.2K resolution, which is pretty good for a 14-inch diagonal. The panel fully covers the sRGB color gamut and comes with eye-health software to mitigate eye damage.

Specifications and features

In terms of hardware, there are two Alder Lake P-series CPUs, which come with 12 cores, 16 threads, and a TDP of 28W, allowing the CPUs to hit high speeds and offer decent performance. The GPU choices are quite adequate for this notebook, as the RTX 3050 and RTX 3050 Ti don’t need a lot of cooling, especially since most of the units inside these smaller laptops have a low TGP of 40-50W. On the other hand, they deliver very good 1080p gaming performance in recent titles and good settings and framerates, making the device a really versatile and portable one.

Speaking of cooling, you have to optimize your space usage as best as you can, to deliver the best possible product. This is where clever engineering comes into play, with the laptop using its keyboard to draw air since there isn’t space for a grill on the front.

The I/O consists of two USB Type-A 3.2 (Gen. 1) ports, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, an HDMI 2.0 port, and a 3.5 mm audio jack.
