This laptop is out of the ordinary, as while some devices in the market can offer the same hardware, the display that the ASUS ProArt Studiobook 16 3D OLED offers cannot be matched. It’s the first mainstream offer from a big manufacturer to feature this type of technology, so it will be interesting to see how well it works once we get the laptop for a review since we’re very curious.

Design

The design of the Studiobook reminds us a lot of the Legion 5 and Legion Slim 7, with an extended back portion, sharp edges, and rounded corners. All in all, it looks pretty good, with the black finish looking quite good. ASUS utilizes the space well, putting some of the larger ports on the back, including the power, plug, Ethernet connector, and HDMI port. In terms of materials, we do expect to see aluminum for the entire chassis, since the laptop will cost an arm and a leg. We also see a very long reverse notch on the top bezel, which houses a lot of sensors. They help with the 3D Panel, using ASUS Spatial Vision. Portability is quite okay, as for a 16-inch device, it weighs 2.40 kg and has a profile of 23.9 mm.

Display

Spatial Vision uses cameras and sensors to track your eyes and how they move, so you experience the 3D even when you move or look away. The display itself has a resolution of 3.2K (3200 x 2000), a 120Hz refresh rate, and uses an OLED panel, with an infinite contrast ratio and 100% DCI-P3 coverage.

Specifications and features

The Core i9-13980HX is prepping to be the new CPU king, with 24 cores and 32 threads, as well as 36MB of cache. The RTX 4070 takes care of the GPU side, offering enough power to handle complex Creator workloads. The port selection of the ProArt Studiobook 16 3D OLED comes with two USB Type-A 3.2 (Gen. 2) ports, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, an HDMI 2.1 port, an Ethernet port, an SD card reader, and a 3.5 mm audio jack.

You also get a dedicated physical Dial, which is well integrated inside many Creator apps, including the whole Adobe Suit, as well as in Davinci Resolve, two of the most popular editing programs that are used.
