[Specs and Info] MSI Stealth 15 (A13Vx) – Thin & Lights are becoming great

The Stealth 15 from MSI has a simple mission ahead of itself: be light and deliver good performance. Considering MSI’s competitors have been pretty good at that, cue the TUF Dash F15, we expect MSI to either step up or step aside. Looking at the MSI Stealth 15 (A13Vx) we expect MSI to step up, as the laptop looks great on paper, but the final test will be our own review, whenever that comes to be.

For now, here is our quick overview of the laptop, which has Raptor Lake H-series processors and RTX 40-series graphics.

MSI Stealth 15 (A13Vx): Full Specs

Design

The laptop lives up to its name, offering a sleek and stealthy appearance. It’s entirely made from metal and has a sand-blasted finish. If you told us that the Stealth 15 was an office machine, we’d honestly believe you, as the edges are sharp and the angles are rounded. There are some heat vents on the sides as well as the back, supplying air to the Cooler Boost Trinity+ setup. There’s also a grill on the base, which is long and has the word Stealth spelled out. In terms of weight and height, the Stealth 15 comes in at 2.10 kg and has a profile of 19.9 mm.

The laptop also has front-firing stereo speakers, which are made by Dynaudio. On the sides, we find the I/O which includes two USB Type-A 3.2 (Gen. 2) ports, two USB Type-C 3.2 (Gen. 2) ports, one of which has Power Delivery and DisplayPort capabilities, an HDMI 2.1 port, a LAN port, and a 3.5 mm audio jack.

Display

There are three display options to choose from, starting with a Full HD IPS display with a 144Hz refresh rate. From there, you can get a 4K UHD IPS display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Lastly, there’s a QHD display with an OLED panel and a 240Hz refresh rate.

Specifications and features

The laptop has two Raptor Lake processors, the Core i5-13420H and the Core i7-13620H. The Core i5 has 8 cores and 12 threads, while the Core i7 has 10 cores and 16 threads. For graphics, you get the RTX 4050 and the RTX 4060, with 6GB and 8GB of GDDR6 memory as well as a 90W TGP. The Stealth 15 has two SODIMM slots for up to 64GB of DDR5 memory and two SSD slots for Gen 4 SSDs. The processors’ integrated graphics are also here, which can be of great help if you’re multitasking, video rendering, or streaming. We mentioned the Cooler Boost Trinity+ setup, which has 5 total heat pipes for the CPU and GPU, as well as three fans, which is good to see from a more compact machine.

The new 40-series graphics has access to DLSS3, a new technology that includes the normal DLSS2 super-resolution, as well as Frame Generation, which generates new frames to fill in the gaps using AI. There’s also a MUX switch, which allows you to switch between integrated and discrete graphics.
