If you are unfamiliar with Acer’s branding, the Spin line has mostly been about the touchscreen display that they feature and the 360-degree hinge that allows the laptop to be unfolded in a variety of different ways. These include standard mode, tablet, and the newest tent mode, where the laptop rests on the edges of its screen and keyboard. They also vary in size with the 3 being the smallest and 7, the largest in the family.

The Spin 3 and the Spin 5 both come with the newest Tiger-Lake architecture from Intel with their Iris integrated GPU. The Spin 7 differs from the rest with it being the company’s first 5G laptop featuring a Snapdragon SoC from Qualcomm.

Every laptop of the Spin line comes with antimicrobial Gorilla Glass and keyboard, ionized with silver particles to combat germs and bacteria.

All of them also offer a Stylus pen with certified Wacom technology for authentic writing.

All in all, this line of laptops offers something for everyone with their versatility and you should definitely consider them if you’re looking to purchase one. For example, if you wanted to dabble in drawing or design but don’t want to buy a new tablet just for that these Acer offerings might just be what you’re looking for.

Swift 3X

The Swift 3 line has been overpopulated for a while now, with tons of different processor and GPU options to choose from, so Acer went ahead and added a letter at the end to signify that we are getting something brand new – discrete Intel Graphics.

Ever since AMD’s head of Radeon Raja Koduri left “Team Red” in 2017 to join Intel in their newly formed Core and Visual Computing Group, announcing that Intel plans to compete in the GPU space, enthusiasts have been waiting, and they have waited long enough. The Swift 3 comes with the Intel Iris Xe Max discrete GPU which promises to compete with mid-range cards from AMD and NVIDIA.

The aforementioned changes could only make the laptop better since it’s already a great choice for students and on-the-go workers with a port selection of just about everything you need.

ConceptD 7, 7 Pro

While most of Acer’s laptop products have been value-oriented and offered good specs and a classic design, the ConceptD7 and 7 Pro are about as far away from that ideology as you’ll ever get. They feature maximum performance with designers and engineers in mind.

Both of them rely on the old, but proven Comet-Lake processors since the newest most powerful Tiger-Lake chips still haven’t yet arrived.

As for the GPUs, the ConceptD 7 has an unspecified high-end RTX card, while the 7 Pro can be purchased with a Quadro RTX series card. What’s even more interesting is that both models come with 4K displays and an improved cooling system which limits the noise output to that of a quiet library.

If your job includes heavy animation, visual effects, 3D modeling, or tasks that require heavy computing power, these laptops will be of use to you.

Porsche Design Acer Book RS

The most eye-catching, beautiful laptop that got announced, was without question the Porsche Design Acer Book RS. With lines that resemble a sports car and a stunning carbon fiber back cover with a diamond pattern it outright feels expensive, luxurious and fast.

Specifications for the laptop have not yet been announced beyond that it will have an 11th Gen Tiger-Lake CPU with integrated Iris Xe graphics, with an optional NVIDIA GPU as well. When we are thinking about this laptop all we could say about it is that it is more of a fashion accessory than it is a laptop. For the same price, you can get a better laptop, but it will certainly lack the “Wow” factor that the Acer Book RS has.

The laptop will be offered with an optional Porsche Design Acer Mouse RS or a fully equipped Porsche Design Travelpack RS which will include a mousepad, mouse, a notebook sleeve, and a carrying pouch.
