Dell Precision 17 7770: Full Specs

The rear has three heat vents that cover most of the backside. In terms of weight and height, the laptop stops the scales at 3.02 kg and has a profile of 26.70 mm.

Display

The display selection offers quality panels, with two IPS panels with either FHD or UHD resolution. Both panels have a max brightness of 500 nits and 99% DCI-P3 coverage. One area where the 4K panel outshines its FHD counterpart is with the 120Hz refresh rate.

Specifications and features

The laptop is powered by five HX-series processors, starting with the Core i5-12600HX and ending with the Core i9-12950HX. These chips have 10W extra and more cache, with the Core i9 bringing 16 cores and 24 threads. On the graphics end, there are the RTX A-series with up to the A5500. There is also the 3080 Ti, which was previously reserved for the best of the best in the gaming market, but quietly finds its way into the productivity segment.

Being a 17.3-inch device, it has I/O for days, with two USB Type-A 3.2 (Gen. 1) ports, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, one more Type-C 3.2 (Gen. 2) port, an HDMI 2.1 connector, an SD card reader, a LAN port, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. There’s also an optional SmartCard reader, which can be used for an additional layer of security and authentication.
