1. The build
This laptop has an all-aluminum build and it looks fantastic. The profile is only 17.9mm and it weighs 1.48 kg. You can open the lid with one hand too.
2. Cool and quiet
The cooling solution of this machine does a good job. We measured 36°C only, during our stress tests – impressive. At the same time, the fan is almost inaudible.
3. Battery life
The battery unit is just 50Wh but we were able to extract 16 hours of Web browsing from it, and over 12 hours of video playback.
4. The screen
The screen (Chi Mei CMN14E0) is a really good one. It has superb viewing angles, a very good contrast ratio – 1330:1 (1230:1 after profiling), and it covers 94% of the sRGB. The panel doesn’t use aggressive PWM to adjust its brightness levels.
