3 reasons to BUY the Lenovo ThinkPad L390
1. The keyboard
As almost every ThinkPad device the keyboard of this one doesn’t disappoint. It has long key travel, clicky feedback, and a backlight too.
2. The I/O
The ports selection is good. On the left side, we have two USB Type-C 3.1 (Gen. 1), a USB Type-A 3.1 (Gen. 1), and an HDMI 1.4 connector. On the right side – a Mini RJ-45, a USB Type-A 3.1 (Gen. 1) port, an audio jack, a MicroSD card slot, and a strangely-placed power button.
3. The display part 1
The IPS panel (LG LP133WF2-SPL8) has comfortable viewing angles and it flickers at a very high frequency so the display is safe enough for long hours of work.
2 reasons not to BUY the Lenovo ThinkPad L390
1. The display part 2
Unfortunately, the display has a bad side too – low sRGB coverage (53%), mediocre contrast ratio, and not-so-good average dE values.
2. Hot under load
The other drawback is related to comfort during heavy load – when stressed the laptop gets hot. During testing, it reached 56°C which isn’t a good result.
