4 reasons to BUY the Lenovo Legion 5i 17

    1. The good part of the design

Lenovo has always chosen to make the designs of their Legion laptops as minimal as possible so that their devices don’t scream “I’M A GAMING LAPTOP! LOOK AT MY RGB!”. They have perfected this style of incognito gaming and this Legion 5i is no exception. They have also added a webcam with a privacy shutter which is always a nice addition.

    2. The Upgradeability

When you remove the 11 Phillips head screws that hold the bottom panel, the two SODIMM RAM slots get revealed as well as one M.2 PCIe x4 slot and a 2.5-inch SATA drive bay. You have to remove an extra metal plate to get to the RAM slots, but it’s better to have them rather than not having them.

    3. The Battery life

The battery life on the device, considering the hardware inside is pretty good. The 80Wh unit inside the Lenovo Legion 5i 17 managed to last through 9 hours and 22 minutes of Web browsing and 8 hours and 26 minutes of video playback in HD.

    4. The Keyboard

We’re not kidding when we say that this is one of the best keyboards that we have ever seen on a laptop. It has good travel and nice clicky feedback. It is also backlit in white, which is very good to see in a world where every gaming laptop keyboard has a red or RGB backlight. The keycaps are also of great size and not one of the small ones, which makes it easy to trigger double or accidental presses.

1 reason to NOT buy the Lenovo Legion 5i 17

    1. The bad part of the design

While the design of this Lenovo device is great, in its ability to hide its status in plain sight, the materials that Lenovo has chosen spark confusion in our eyes. The plastic that is used on the device, while being of good quality is still plastic and makes the device flexible and not in a good way. The big 17-inch screen doesn’t help that either.
