Toshiba Portege Z20t – durability, Full HD capacitive screen and different usage modes

The screen of Portege Z20t-B-10C has a 12.5-inch diagonal. The idea of Toshiba is to provide a workspace that’s big enough and in the same time, as compact and easy to carry as possible. The resolution is Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) and will delight you with clear and detailed images. Thanks to the IPS matrix you’ll enjoy great contrast and wide viewing angles. There are also special covers to protect the glass from greasy fingertips and light reflection so that you’ll be able to see the screen clearly outdoors.

Performance, port variety and sound quality

The Intel Core M-5Y71 is in charge of the performance. It has two cores with a clock frequency of 1.20-2.90 GHz. That is combined with Intel HD Graphics 5300 video card with shared memory and 8GB DDR3 RAM. There is a 250 GB SSD for dist storage.

You’ll notice the many ports scattered around the tablet and its docking keyboard. On the side of the tablet you’ll find a micro USB 2.0, combined with an audio jack for earphones, micro-HDMI-output and a micro SD slot. The keyboard will add another two USB 3.0 slots, RGB, HDMI-out and an RJ-45.

The tablet has a 3 cell battery which, according to Toshiba, will last over 9 hours without recharging. The best part is that the keyboard also has a battery that extends the life of the machine by a factor of nearly two. Again, according to the manufacturer, when connected to the keyboard the model can provide you with more than 17 hours of work far from the charger. This makes it perfect for users who tend to travel a lot.

The keypad is full-sized, has a backlight and won’t become uncomfortable even if you type for long periods of time. The package also contains a big multi-functional touchpad offering a number of quick commands through combinations of different movements. There is a “TrackPoint” in the center of the keyboard. In addition to all of this, Portege Z20t-B-10C also comes with a Stylus pen with very good sensitivity.
