We’re still testing Alcatel One Touch Idol 3 (5.5). Before we show you its detailed review, we’ve prepared another post. This time around, it is about the external temperatures after heavy 3d gaming. Unfortunately, the aforementioned temperature weren’t low. At the hottest point (near the camera) we measured 52.2 degrees. That’s lower than Sony Xperia M4 Aqua’s result, (note that the Aqua also features a kind of Snapdragon 615) but it is still a pretty high value.
The hottest point of the panel mid-section was measured at 47.1 degrees. And finally, even though it is still relatively high, the 44.3-degree measurement from the lowest part feels much better than the camera area. On the bright side, that’s where your hand is likely to be placed most of the time. Overall, we can conclude that after intensive 3D gaming the back of Alcatel One Touch Idol 3 (5.5) reaches really high temperatures.
