ASUS is preparing an ultra-budget gaming laptop king – X580 with GTX 1050 and i5-7300HQ (specs and price)
We have evidence that ASUS will try to take the crown from Lenovo for a gaming laptop with the best price/performance ratio and the name of the new warrior will be X580. Our sources say that they’ll give us more information soon but the most important piece is already here – the main specs and the price.
ASUS X580 will most probably come as a successor to the X550 model which stunned us with its excellent price/performance ratio last year (detailed review). X580 will upgrade the i5-6300HQ with i5-7300HQ (Kaby Lake) and at the place of the GTX 950M will come the new GeForce GTX 1050 (Pascal).
The price we found on a Polish site (X-kom.pl) is 4599 PLN ($1160 / 1085 EUR) but we expect a starting price of around $799 for the USA and 869 EUR for Europe (for a configuration with 8GB RAM, 1TB HDD, No OS).
