ASUS ROG Strix G16 (2025) storms our “Top 100 Laptops with the Best Screens” – dethrones Lenovo as the new gaming-display champ
Less than a week after we celebrated the Lenovo Legion Pro 7i Gen 10 (detailed review) for breaking into the overall Top 10 Laptops with the Best Screens, the leaderboard has shuffled again.
This time it’s ASUS’ brand-new ROG Strix G16 G615 (detailed review) muscling its way onto the list – and it does so by claiming the title of highest-rated gaming laptop display we’ve ever tested.
Why the display is a big deal
Our colleagues from LaptopMedia’s laboratory measured a reflectance of just ≈30 GU – an extraordinarily low figure that nearly halves the glare of its closest gaming rivals and puts the Strix G16 on par with the best creator machines. Pair that matte surface with:
Metric | Result | Notes |
Peak luminance | ~507 nits | Plenty for bright offices or studio lights |
Contrast ratio | 1320 : 1 | Deep blacks for an IPS panel |
Color accuracy | ΔE 1.70 → 0.90 after our profile | Values below 1.0 are considered undistinguishable from the real colors for the human eye |
Gamut coverage | 99 % sRGB / 97 % DCI-P3 | Nearly full-breadth content-creation range |
These numbers push the Strix G16 straight to the #1 gaming spot in our display ranking and into the overall Top 10, nudging the Legion Pro 7i down a peg.
But that’s not the only aspect where the new Strix G16 shines. Read its full review to find everything about it.
