Lenovo A2010 preview – all you need from a budget model

Another interesting low-end device popped out, again from Lenovo. It has something more to offer than the bare minimum. The Lenovo A2010 is facing fierce competetion, so let’s what see what the budget model can offer.
You can check when the smartphone will be available in your area here: http://amzn.to/1Ykti9F
4.5-inch display and comfortable design

Lenovo A2010 has a 4.5-inch display making it comfortable to hold and use with one hand. The device’s slightly curved back not only helps for better grip, but also creates the illusion of a thinner profile while it’s 9.9 mm thick and the weight of the phone is only 137 grams. Anyway, the resolution of A2010’s display is 480 x 854, which is completely normal for this price range and the given size of the screen – it is enough to provide detailed images with a pixel density is 217 ppi.
As for the cameras – there is a 5MP unit with LED flash on the back and a 2MP front-facing one. Photo quality probably won’t be the highest and we can’t expect it to be.
Android 5.1 Lollipop and 2000mAh battery

Lenovo A2010 operates on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Lenovo’s custom UI on top adding some features and pre-installed apps. The usual Shareit, which allows you to remotely share various videos, and Syncit, which saves and restores all of your contacts, messages and other information, are one of those apps..
We’re expecting long battery life from the device, due to the optimized OS, relatively small screen size and energy efficient SoC. The capacity of the battery is 2000 mAh and that sounds prommising. According to the manufacturer, a single charge should be enough to provide up to eight and a half hours of talk time and around 12 days in standby mode.
Quad-core MediaTek SoC and dual-SIM card support

The SoC inside is MediaTek MT6735M that boasts four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.00GHz. And there’s the Mali-T720 GPU and 1GB of RAM as well. The internal storage of the device is 8GB, but there is a microSD memory card slot available that supports up to 32GB. And, of course, the smartphone offers dua-SIM card support.
