Lenovo Predicts a Significant Increase in Laptop Demand for 2025 – Three Key Factors Behind the Expected Boom

The laptop market is heading for a transformation in 2025, with Lenovo forecasting a surge in demand. We had the opportunity to discuss this with Steve Long, Senior Vice President at Lenovo, who shared his perspective on what’s driving this trend.

One of the key factors, according to Long, is the growing integration of AI capabilities into laptops. “Customers are seeing the benefits of AI and understand the need to refresh their fleet to maximize its potential and future-proof their workflows”, he explained. The end of Windows 10 support will also push many commercial users and organizations to upgrade their devices, further boosting demand.

At LaptopMedia, we also foresee a major refresh cycle – as operating systems integrate more AI and machine learning-based applications, consumers will increasingly look for hardware capable of handling these tasks efficiently. But what would be an even stronger catalyst is the fierce competition that we expect when NVIDIA gets into processor market. If that really happens, we’d have four major players – Intel, AMD, Qualcomm, and NVIDIA.

This evolving landscape prompted us to launch our new AI Hardware Performance Rankings, where you can explore how various laptops and components perform in AI workloads: AI Hardware Performance Rankings.

Keep following LaptopMedia for more insights into the future of the laptop market, and let us guide you through these exciting developments.
