Lenovo redesigns its Legion gaming lineup

Lenovo is adding a wide variety of refreshed systems to its Legion gaming PC lineup, including the new Y530, Y730, and Y7000 laptops, T530 and T730 towers, and the cube-shaped C530 and C730. The new Legions feature lower-end graphics offerings so they appear targeted at casual gamers. What’s more, the laptops have a simplistic and sophisticated design which is like а breath of fresh air compared to the gaudy aesthetic of other gaming machines.

Both Y530 and Y7000 models are basically the same laptop with hardware options including an Intel Core i5 processor and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 graphics card. The difference between the two is mainly in their design, with the latter boasting a more premium aluminum top cover and an illuminated Y logo on its lid.

Anyhow, most of the ports have been moved to the back of the notebook so each side is left with just one USB Type-A port. What’s more, the cooling system has also undergone a revamp and now features larger fan blades ensuring more efficient heat dissipation and less fan noise and vibrations.

Moving on, the higher-end Y730 comes in both 15.6-inch and 17.3-inch all-aluminum configurations with RGB keyboards. In terms of hardware, you can get up to an Intel Core i7 processor and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti. In addition, the notebook relies on 16GB of overclocked DDR4 memory.

Furthermore, the Y530 and Y730 laptops stand out with slim bezel screens with up to 300 nits of brightness. You could also opt for a 144Hz Full HD IPS display. On top of that, a Y730’s noteworthy feature is its optional G-Sync display for smoother gameplay.

Now let’s turn our heads to the T530 and T730 towers. Their specs sheets include support for up to an Intel Core i7 processor, up to an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 graphics card, as well as 32GB of RAM, and dual SSDs in RAID 0 configuration.

Finally, the C530 and C730 gaming cubes boast a 19-liter Iron Gray chassis. They can be easily taken anywhere thanks to the handles at the top and you can also see their internals through the transparent top panel. Furthermore, C730 comes with optional RGB system lighting.
