MSI GL62M 7RDX uses PWM from 0 to 21% brightness

We put the MSI GL62M 7RDX to some tests in order to evaluate the quality of its screen and the results were both positive and negative. Unfortunately, the brightness level of the device is PWM-adjusted from 0 to 21% brightness, but we also have to mention that it does it with a very high frequency (26 kHz), therefore it is not a major concern and can be used for continuous work as it wouldn’t have such a negative impact on most users.

In other words, the screen flickers only up to 60 nits of luminance and this will affect only buyers with particularly sensitive eyes. However, if you find that disturbing, we have a solution for you and it is our Health-Guard profile, which eliminates PWM and also reduces the negative blue light emissions.

Still, if you haven’t made up your mind whether the MSI GL62M 7RDX is the right choice for you, we suggest browsing our PWM ranking for laptops with similar or better PWM rating.
