The laptop itself is armed well, as the Stealth series is made to offer a mix of powerful hardware for gaming, which as it turns out, is incredible for content creation too. The laptop that we bought features an Intel Core Ultra 9 185H and an RTX 4070 with a 105W power limit.
MSI Stealth 16 AI Studio A1V: Full Specs / In-depth Review
Display quality
The QHD+ IPS panel comes with a 240Hz refresh rate, so gaming and general use feels buttery smooth. The display reaches 510 nits of brightness, so outdoor use will be no problem. Furthermore, you get 100% sRGB and 98% DCI-P3 coverage. This means that you get a super vivid and punchy image with deep colors. Movies and pretty much all content look incredible, so filmmakers can be happy editing and color-grading footage on the go.
Let’s move to the color accuracy. We measure it in dE, which is the difference between the real-life colors and how they appear on the screen of the MSI Stealth 16 AI Studio. The lower the dE value, the closer the display colors appear to the real ones. With the stock settings, the laptop gets a dE value of 1.5, which is great.
Once we apply our Web Design and Office Work profile, the dE value drops to 0.7, which means that now the Stealth 16 is ready for all sorts of professional color work, like graphic design, photo editing, publishing work, and printed media. Furthermore, dE values below 1.0 are indistinguishable by the human eye, so you’re getting the most accurate colors possible unless your target audience are robots, in which case there’s still some room to grow.

Office Work
Office Work should be used mostly by users who spend most of the time looking at pieces of text, tables or just surfing. This profile aims to deliver better distinctness and clarity by keeping a flat gamma curve (2.20), native color temperature and perceptually accurate colors.
Design and Gaming
This profile is aimed at designers who work with colors professionally, and for games and movies as well. Design and Gaming takes display panels to their limits, making them as accurate as possible in the sRGB IEC61966-2-1 standard for Web and HDTV, at white point D65.
Health-Guard
Health-Guard eliminates the harmful Pulse-Width Modulation (PWM) and reduces the negative Blue Light which affects our eyes and body. Since it’s custom tailored for every panel, it manages to keep the colors perceptually accurate. Health-Guard simulates paper so the pressure on the eyes is greatly reduced.
