New laptops added to our NGFF compatibility list including the Alienware 13, HP ProBook 450 G3 and the new ASUS N552VW
Another start of the week with another report for our NGFF M.2 SSD compatibility list, which if you haven’t already checked it out, make sure you do so here. Anyway, we’ve added several new notebooks to the listings with their corresponding M.2 SSD slots.
First off, the 13-inch Alienware 13 surprised us with two M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD slots with the one being occupied by a 256GB Samsung drive. Both slots, however, feature a B-edge key connector, so be aware. The recently reviewed HP ProBook 440 G3 was also added to the listing with a standard M.2 SATA 2280 SSD slot while the 15-inch variant HP ProBook 450 G3 and the AMD-powred configuration (455 G3) sport M.2 2280 SATA SSD or 2240 sticks. The best news is that the new ASUS N552VW features a full-sized 2280 SSD PCIe SSD and that’s a huge deal since the last generation had only half-size mSATA slot. That’s a big leap and we welcome it.
Hi,
