Lenovo also made sure their presence at the MWC 2016 event in Barcelona was noticed as they officially revealed two new smartphones – Vibe K5 and Vibe K5 Plus. Both models feature 5-inch screens but while the resolution on the K5 is HD, the Plus version has a Full HD display. Also, the latter boasts Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 616 SoC, compared to the Snapdragon 415 on the former.
The rest of the specs includes 2GB of LPDDR3 RAM, 2750 mAh removable battery and 16GB of storage, which could be expanded with a microSD memory card. Both devices feature a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front-facing shooter. They also support two SIM cards and LTE connectivity and run on Android 5.1 Lollipop. The audio quality is has also been emphasized as both devices feature Dolby Atmos speakers. The phones are available in gold and silver and have a sleek, aluminum construction, with the K5 Plus measuring at 8.2 mm thickness and 142 grams weight.
There isn’t any information about the release dates yet, but the prices are known – Vibe K5 will be available for $129 while the K5 Plus – $149. The prices for Europe will most likely be $ = €.
